“Lack of electricity is also a challenge at the center,” he said and reassured the MPs that “...we are working on the problems facing the centre.”
“So far the government has constructed a hospital at Nansio Island, two health centers and 17 dispensaries” he said and noted that efforts are underway to strengthen mother and child care services in the region and across the country.
Jafo was responding to a question by Joseph Mkundi (Ukerewe-Chadema) who wanted to know of government’s plans to provide better and reliable health services to Tanzanians and specifically the people of Ukerewe constituency.
He told the National Assembly that the geographical location of Ukerewe poses a challenge in provision of healthcare.
